Right Down The Middle

When it comes to hitting a ball right down the middle of the fairway, no muscular group is more important to golfers than their “core muscles.” This collection of paired muscle groups located at the front and back of the mid-body help a person bend backward and forward and twist from side to side. They also keep a person upright and balanced when walking, running, stretching, carrying, lifting, or performing any sport-specific or function activity (such as rising in and out of a bed or chair). Because there is no standardized test to measure isolated core strength since the core is composed of so many muscles, core conditioning (which consists of more exercises than the standard crunch) is crucial.
